At this time, Walking Home Therapy is a private-pay practice, meaning I don't bill insurance directly. However, I'm happy to provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of your therapy sessions.
I encourage you to check with your insurance provider about:
Whether your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits
Your deductible and how much of each session may be reimbursed
Whether a mental health diagnosis is required for reimbursement
Whether services provided by an LPC-Associate are eligible for reimbursement
If you have any questions about superbills or how the process works, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to help where I can!

Individual therapy sessions are $130 for 50 minutes. I also offer extended 80-minute sessions for $185 for those who may benefit from having a little more time and space.
I reserve a limited number of reduced-rate spots to help make therapy more accessible. You're welcome to reach out to ask about current availability.

Our first session is an opportunity to begin getting to know one another. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and anything else that feels important for me to understand about you.
There's no pressure to share everything at once or know exactly where to begin. We'll move at a pace that feels supportive for you, and you're always welcome to ask questions or let me know what you need along the way.

My approach is relational, somatic, and experiential, informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and interpersonal neurobiology.
I believe every part of us has a story worth understanding, even the parts we struggle with or wish were different. Rather than trying to fix or get rid of these parts, we'll approach them with curiosity and compassion so we can begin to understand and create space for new ways of relating to ourselves and others.
Our work is collaborative and shaped by your unique needs and experiences.

Yes! I offer virtual therapy to adults throughout Texas, as well as in-person Walk & Talk therapy in New Braunfels.
Virtual sessions allow you to connect from a private, comfortable space of your choosing, while Walk & Talk sessions offer the opportunity to bring our work outdoors.
-
Walk & Talk therapy brings the therapeutic experience outdoors, combining conversation, gentle movement, and connection with nature.
Sessions typically take place at a mutually agreed-upon public park in New Braunfels. We might walk together, sit on a bench, or move between the two depending on what feels supportive that day. There's no expectation to exercise or keep a particular pace.
Being outdoors can offer a different kind of space for reflection, connection, and nervous system support. We'll also talk through privacy considerations and make a plan together before our first outdoor session.
-
There's no one-size-fits-all timeline for therapy. Some people come for support through a particular season of life, while others are interested in longer-term work.
We can explore what feels right for you, whether that's meeting weekly or at a different frequency. We'll check in along the way and adjust as your needs evolve.

I believe all parts of us deserve care and compassion, including those carrying thoughts or feelings that may be difficult to talk about.
As a solo practitioner, there are some needs I may not be best equipped to support, particularly active substance use disorders or situations involving frequent, intense suicidal thoughts that require more immediate or ongoing support.
This doesn't mean these experiences aren't welcome in therapy. Rather, I want to make sure you have access to the level of care, availability, and specialized support you deserve. If I'm not the right fit, I'm happy to help you explore other options.

This is an opportunity for us to connect, talk a little about what you're looking for, and explore whether working together might feel like a good fit. You're also welcome to ask any questions you have about my approach or the therapy process.
If we decide to move forward, we'll find a time for your first session and I'll send you the necessary paperwork to complete beforehand.
